It's just another textbook By Tommy Serves its purpose for what it is but unless you are specifically interested in art are looking to start learning this isn't for you. I had to have it for a fine arts college course and I will be selling it back as soon as I am done.

It's one of the better textbooks I've seen on the Arts. It covers painting, sculpture, literature, movies, theater, music, and dance. It's a great introduction to all of the Arts in a readable style with many photographs or illustrations of paintings, ballets, and plays. The book is expensive so I bought mine used, but it did not come with the music CD which is supposed to come with a new book. I recommend buying it new or checking with the seller of a used one to make sure it comes with the CD.
